“Helping Your Nest
Become Its Best”
Do you often feel stressed or wonder if your household is “normal”? Do you question if your child or children are on track? If you are you doing everything you can and should be? Do you struggle to decide which strategies to implement with your child behaviourally? Emotionally? Academically? YOU ARE NOT ALONE! The truth is: there is no “normal” – how a home functions is completely individual. Thousands of parenting teams are asking themselves the same questions and are struggling to find the simple answers or strategies to apply to their day-to-day lives.
Parenting books and classes can be helpful but often fail to provide the specific strategies to apply to each family’s individual needs. Many parents have the best intentions for their children but continue to fall short of maintaining a harmonious environment. Sometimes things do not “feel quite right” but you do not know where to turn. Owl’s Nest is here to help! I can take the guess work out of researching and applying techniques by meeting in person and providing individual plans – saving you time and effort.
Visit “services” for a full list of services.

What I Do
Through listening and observation, I can determine the needs of the household and provide specific, individual strategies that will propel the entire family into prosperity. Parents and caregivers will communicate concerns and receive a concrete and detailed plan that targets specific needs. This goal-oriented process is completely customized to your family and can change your life as you know it. This being said, it takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and commitment. It will force you to look introspectively into your role in the family and also how to understand the others in your nest. Behaviour and family dynamics are constantly changing and evolving, having some valuable tools in your tool box will come in handy. Clients will book one hour sessions at their convenience. Sessions will be for module implementation or question and answer – please see the services page for descriptions.

What is the difference between therapy and Owl's Nest?
Therapies such as psychotherapy and psychiatry, psychology, and counselling often focus on the past. Considering the pathology, healing and unresolved psychological issues that contribute to one’s current situation. Intensive Behavioural Intervention IBI and/or Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) focus on the child or client’s individual deficits and development.
Owl’s Nest Consulting focuses on the the home as a whole in the present moment. Although, the past has significant impact on the current situation, it can not be changed. What changes, plans and goals can be implimented today to move forward? In order to change or improve the multi-facited function of a home, all factors in the environment must be considered. The focus will be on how to implement techniques that will make a difference in your day-to-day moving forward. We may not be able to change the past, however we can learn from it and take positive action with the intent and purpose to improve our future.
When should I start?
No more research needs to be done to reassure people about the critical development between the ages of 0-5. Although it is never too late, it is also never too early!
Whether you are expecting, have an infant, a two, or five year old, there are always strategies to use and goals to set. Let me take the guessing out of it – feel reassured that you have a plan and are ready for what is coming next.
